Alpha Environmnental Customer Champion - 10/11/2009

Alpha Environmental have launched a new and exciting scheme to reward employees throughout the entire organization who have demonstrated 'Exceptional Customer Service' to our customers.

Each month the Operations and Customer Service Departments are able to nominate staff from their office who they believe have demonstrated exceptional customer care, and so fully embellishing 'The Year of the Customer'.  Each winner will receive their award from their Office Manager or Director, with a yearly 'Customer Champion' from each and one overall annual winner also being awarded after 12 months.


Environment Agency Publish New Five Year Corporate Strategy - 26/11/2009

The Environment Agency this week unveiled its ambitious five year plan to clean up rivers, defend more properties against flooding, reduce emissions, discharges and waste from industry, and tackle the causes and consequences of climate change.

The Chief Executive, Dr Paul Leinster unveiled the corporate strategy at the Annual Conference in London believing that it will bring pace and ingenuity to the challenge of a changing environment faced in Great Britain.

To coincide with the release of this corporate strategy the government's environmental watchdog today also highlighted numerous environmental improvements across England and Wales in the past decade.  These have included:

  • The amount of waste produced by companies regulated by the Environment Agency being reduced by 14% since 2005.
  • The number of cases of serious pollution in England and Wales dropping by 13% from 827 in 2007 to 723 in 2008, down from 44% from 1,834 major incidents recorded in 2001.

Alpha Environmental Achieves Excellence in Health and Safety Report - 26/11/2009

Continuing Alpha Environmentals proud responsibility with Health and Safety, the company is pleased to announce its recent success following an independent audit carried out on our office and site Health and Safety practices.

The review and report brought up no reservations or concerns with Alpha Environmental and saw the company achieve a risk grading of Grade 1.  This grade, the highest that can be awarded identifies a company that sets a:

"High standard of occupational health and safety management that are beyond statutory compliance and with pro-active systems for reviewing and reducing liability risks."

Alpha Environmental Updates Quality Management Accreditation - 26/11/2009

Alpha Environmental is delighted to announce the update of it's BS EN ISO 9001:2000 accreditation for Quality Management to the recent 2008 standard.

This internationally recognised standard is associated with effectively managing a business and improving the way it operates.

The accreditation has allowed Alpha Environmental to benefit from increased efficiency, better decision making and even greater awareness of our customers needs and how best to service them.

Having recently upgraded our Health and Safety accreditation earlier in the year, this recent success demonstrates the committment to excellence and continual improvement that the company wishes to provide to all its customers.
